It is understood he fell ill while on the Invercauld Estate near Ballater. The children he was with went ahead to raise the alarm. Police received the call at 3pm, and scrambled Braemar Mountain Rescue Team and a helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth to the scene. They later confirmed that he had been found safe and well around 6.30pm. A police spokeswoman confirmed that a helicopter from RAF Kinloss and a mountain rescue team had been called out to assist with the search. The man was part of a group, but it was unsure if he was leading the expedition.
