Four men have been charged following an “altercation” in two Aberdeen streets.
Police were called to two disturbances at opposite ends of the city on Thursday, and later confirmed they were related.
The four men, aged 49, 44, 24 and 23, were charged over the weekend in connection with the incident. They are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
Officers were called to Springhill Crescent in Northfield and Nigg Way in Kincorth at about 9.30pm on Thursday.
And on Friday, officers carried out an inch-by-inch search of the grassy bank using a metal detector, while a team of specialists scoured the ground for evidence in Kincorth.
A police spokesman said: “Following a report of disturbances in Springhill Crescent and Nigg Way, Aberdeen at around 9:35pm on Thursday 14 May 2015, Police Scotland can confirm that four local men aged 49, 44, 24 and 23, have been arrested and reported to the procurator fiscal.
