Police in Aberdeen stopped more than 50 drivers as part of a two-day operation to tackle road offences in Torry following concerns from residents.
The stops took place on Monday and Tuesday in the St Fitticks Road area.
A total of 54 motorists were stopped and educated about their driving behaviour.
Of those stopped six drivers were cautioned and charged for road traffic offences, including speeding and lack of a valid MOT.
A further 33 vehicles were warned regarding their speed.
The action was taken under the Operation Whitebeam initiative, which aims to improve the safety of Aberdeen’s roads for all road users.
Constable James Griffin said: “It is really important that members of our community feel free to highlight their concerns and know that we will respond.
“There was a significant drop in average speed for the second day of this latest operation, which shows the positive effect our presence had on motorists. Road safety is a priority for our team and we are committed to making our roads safer through initiatives like Operation Whitebeam in the future.”
