A north-east nightclub which went into administration has been sold.
Espionage East Limited (EEL) and Espionage North Limited (ENL), which own and operate Espionage nightclub on Aberdeen’s Union Street, went into administration in July last year.
Blair Nimmo and Gary Fraser of KPMG LLP were appointed joint administrators of Duddingston Leisure Limited, EEL and ENL at the request of the companies’ director.
Now the pair have announced the sale of the club and its Edinburgh counterpart to Glasgow-based company G1 Group.
All 45 staff – 29 of which are based in Aberdeen – will be retained.
Mr Nimmo said: “We held discussions with a number of interested parties and we are extremely pleased to have completed a sale of both nightclubs, safeguarding 45 jobs.
“We would like to thank all employees and suppliers for their continued co-operation throughout the process and wish the new owners every success in the months ahead.”
