Police are appealing for witnesses after a young man was attacked in Aberdeen.
The 21-year-old man was assaulted by a male at around 9:20pm on Saturday, May 23, at Codonas Amusement Park in Aberdeen.
The attack was unprovoked and the man suffered facial injuries in the incident and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
PC Paul Slatter of Aberdeen Division’s Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit said: “This was an unprovoked and mindless assault on a man attending a dance party with his friends.
“He was approached by a male and punched to the head which caused him to fall to the ground. The people of Aberdeen should be allowed to attend organised events and enjoy them safely without being subjected to this unacceptable behavior.
“I would appeal for anyone with information or who saw anything to contact us.”
The man involved is described as being in his early twenties, approximately 6ft 5 inches tall, large build, wearing a dark green t-shirt, light coloured hair and young facial features.
Anyone with information regarding this incident should call Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
