A person is to be lifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a serious crash on an Aberdeenshire road.
At around 1.45pm police, fire and ambulance teams were called to the scene of the crash on the A980, close to the Muir of Fowlis just south of Alford.
The silver Ford Focus came off the road and crashed into a nearby burn.
The driver has suffered “significant” injuries, and is being treated in an ambulance at the scene while emergency teams wait for the helicopter to arrive on the scene.
The man had to be cut out of his vehicle by fire teams on arrival.
The road is currently closed.
