The Conservatives have selected their candidates for two upcoming city council by-elections in Aberdeen.
The local party association selected senior client services executive Gabriella Giles to contest the Hilton-Woodside-Stockethill ward, while student Philip Sellar will be the Tory candidate in Kincorth-Nigg-Cove.
The by-elections are being held on July 30 following the election last month of former SNP councillors Callum McCaig and Kirsty Blackman as the new MPs for Aberdeen South and North.
City council Conservative group leader Ross Thomson said: “Gabriella and Phillip together bring broad experience which will be invaluable in dealing with challenges that our city faces.
“I look forward to campaigning hard alongside both of them to take the Conservatives positive message and track record of delivering for local people to the doorsteps.”
