Four people were taken to hospital this evening after a fire broke out in Grampian Court in Balnagask.
Emergency services were given the call at around 11pm and police, fire and ambulance services were all in attendance.
The fire was combated by 18 firefighters who eventually brought the blaze under control.
By this stage smoke had spread heavily throughout the building which forced residents to be evacuated.
Paramedics treated 21 people on the scene for gas related injuries and took three adults to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and a child to Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance said: “We were given the call at 23.16pm and sen a special operations team as well as six units to the scene.
“Of the people we took to hospital none were carrying serious injuries.”
