Fishing gear was destroyed in a fire in Fraserburgh.
Fire crews raced to the town’s Denmark Street to tackle the blaze which broke out in fishing nets that had been left out in the open.
A spokeswoman for the fire and rescue service said the incident, which was reported just before 8am on Monday was not being treated as suspicious.
William Duthie, a seafood wholesaler who owns a business nearby, said the emergency was dealt with in about an hour.
“It was next door, at a net store,” he said.
“I’m not sure how it happened, but there were a few boxes with nets that went on fire.
“I was down at the market and when I came back the fire crews were putting it out. I gave them a shot of a forklift to shift some of the stuff away that was burning and they were pretty quick at getting everything out.
