Armed police shut down Aberdeen road

Armed police were called to scene of an incident in Aberdeen this evening.

Elmbank Terrace was cordoned-off as police responded to reports of ‘a driver that failed to stop’.

A police spokesperson said: “Armed police were called in response to intelligence we had received.

“They have since been stood down and we are satisfied there is no risk to the public.”
