An Aberdeen social worker who worked for a charity for the blind and deaf will go before a conduct hearing later this month accused of a series of failings.
During his time at the North East Sensory Services, between October 2010 and August 2011, Neil Thompson is accused of failing “to work in an effective way”.
Mr Thompson is alleged to have failed to record and progress a Department of Work and Pensions Attendance Allowance application for a service user – named in the report as “BB”.
This is said to have resulted in a financial loss of £1,251 for the individual.
He is also alleged to have failed in processing a Blue Badge Scheme application, which aids those with mobility problems in parking their cars, for another service user
The Scottish Social Services Council’s conduct sub-committee will be held from May 26 to 27 in Dundee.
