A woman today admitted stalking her ex-partner after sending his new girlfriend a message on Facebook.
Vicki Hay, of Kingswells, tracked Caroline Miller down on the social networking site after finding out she was in a relationship with her ex.
The 47-year-old then sent Ms Miller an offensive message through Facebook calling her “ugly”.
And she wrote of her ex-partner Christopher Milne: “He is so desperate.”
Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard yesterday that the incident, which happened in November last year, was reported to the police.
Fiscal depute Helen Johnston told the court that Hay had been in a relationship with Mr Milne for about three years before they split up.
She said the mother also wrote her ex-partner a letter which contained details about the relationship.
Hay also turned up at his home address in Aberdeen and asked him for pictures taken at her mother’s funeral.
She later admitted sending the Facebook message and said she was upset that he was in a relationship with somebody else.
Defence solicitor John McCloone said his client was the mother of a teenage boy with cerebral palsy.
He said the couple had met six years ago and split up in 2012 as a result of difficulties.
Mr McCloone said his client’s mother had died in May last year and she had taken photographs of her mother which she wanted back.
The solicitor said Hay accepted that the Facebook message to her ex’s new partner was “spiteful”.
Sheriff Alison Stirling deferred sentence for Hay to be of good behaviour for six months.
