The north-east’s leading cancer charity is appealing for supporters to lace up their walking boots and take part in a fundraising walk this autumn.
Clan Cancer Support, which offers support to those suffering from cancer throughout the north-east of Scotland, Orkney and Shetland, is preparing for its annual Landmark Walk in September.
On September 27, hundreds of walkers will be taking either 13 or seven-mile walks around Aberdeen to raise funds for the charity.
Clan is also seeking volunteers and marshalls to help out with a number of other activities on the day, such as handing out water, giving out medals, and manning junction points.
Susan Crighton, the charity’s fundraising manager, said: “The Landmark Walk has grown into one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and we are all really looking forward to it.
“We rely on the generosity and kindness of our volunteers who enable events like this to go ahead, and hundreds came forward last year to help us out.
“This was absolutely incredible and is something we are hoping to repeat.
“It really is such a fun thing to take part in, and there is always a fantastic atmosphere.”
