Scottish Ballet’s new production of Swan Lake will arrive in Aberdeen next spring – just days after its world premiere.
The production will be staged at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen from April 27 to 30.
Created by award-winning choreographer David Dawson, the new version of Swan Lake marks the dance company’s first re-imagining of this classic ballet since 1995.
The world premiere will be performed at Glasgow’s Theatre Royal from April 19 before heading north to Aberdeen, Inverness and back to Edinburgh.
Christopher Hampson, Scottish Ballet’s artistic director, said: “David always looks to push the boundaries of classical ballet.
“I know that his production of this iconic story will be a thoughtful, fresh and very bold addition to our repertoire.”
Tickets go on sale to Aberdeen Performing Arts Friends today, and to the general public on Friday.
