Public consultation for 50-home Aberdeenshire development

The public will get their say on plans to build 50 homes in Oldmeldrum next week.
Cala Homes will hold a public consultation on their proposals for the town’s Glebe area, west of Urquhart Road.
The scheme will include affordable homes, as well as community facilities including a church.
Now residents can quiz the developers on the proposals during the consultation in Meldrum Town Hall next Thursday, from 2pm-8pm.
Managing director of Cala Homes North, Mike Naysmith, said: “The first public consultation was a great success. We had a fantastic turnout and really positive feedback from the local community.
“We’d like to thank everyone that attended and welcome them back to our second consultation on July 2.
“We’ve taken note of all suggestions and comments made during the last consultation and have carefully crafted an in-depth proposal. We’re looking forward to unveiling our plans to the community.”
Cala Homes submitted a proposal of application notice to Aberdeenshire Council for the development in April and held the first public consultation on May 28.
