Police and trading standards officers will be targeting doorstep crime across Aberdeen on Friday.
Patrols will be carried out to identify areas where bogus workers are operating and residents will be encouraged to speak to officers about any concerns they may have.
Constable Matthew Lawson, who has organised the campaign, said: “This type of crime is totally unacceptable and often targets the most vulnerable in our communities.
“The day of action on Friday will be used to send out a clear message that we and our partners will use every resource available to prevent this from happening and bring those responsible to justice.”
