A cancer charity is holding a fundraising “walk to remember” at an Aberdeen beauty spot.
Marie Curie is encouraging people to complete a 10k circuit around Hazlehead park on Saturday, August 29.
The walk starts at 6.30pm and will be followed by an evening of celebrations, including live music and picnics .
It is taking place as part of a national series of 10k walks and celebrations at 17 venues throughout the UK this summer.
Registration is £10 per person and participants are asked to raise a minimum of £100.
Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All funds raised will help Marie Curie to provide home care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones.
Carolyn Snedden, fundraising manager for north Scotland at Marie Curie, said: “Walk to remember is a great opportunity to get together with friends and family, and think of loved ones that have passed away, whilst taking in some beautiful scenery.
“By signing up for walk to remember at Hazlehead, and reaching the fundraising target, you’ll be helping Marie Curie provide expert care, guidance and support to help people living with a terminal illness get the most from their time.”
