The feline was found in a plastic pet carrier in a bin on Printfield Walk last Friday when someone went to dispose of their rubbish. It has not been taken to the Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue Rehoming Centre in Drumoak, where it has been named Mindy. Centre manager Graeme Innes said: “Mindy was found when someone went to put rubbish in the bin. “She is quite scared and defensive at the moment which is understandable given her terrible ordeal. “This was a particularly cruel act which would have resulted in Mindy’s death had she not been found. “It is difficult to comprehend why anyone would do this to a defenceless animal. “If anyone recognises Mindy and knows who may have done this we would urge them to contact us. “We will look after Mindy until we can find her the loving new home she deserves.” Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Scottish SPCA animal helpline on 03000999999.
