Three primary schools in Aberdeen have been recognised in an international environmental competition.
The biggest winners were the 22 pupils in primary one at Hanover Primary School, whose project was named the best in all categories at the Total Green School Awards.
The youngsters created a film titled Doomed, which explored what can be done to look after the world, and were rewarded with a trophy and a cheque for £1,000.
Youngsters at Middleton Park Primary School won awards in the creative category for their two films, titled the Hungry Forest and Forest Art Gallery.
Their work earned them two certificates and a cheque for £500.
Pupils at Danestone Primary School used a puppet show to make the case for reducing the impact of food waste, called the Adventures of Eco Eric. They also won awards in the creative category and will receive a £250 cheque and a certificate.
