An outdoor swimming pool could be built at a leisure club in Aberdeen.
Gym operator David Lloyd wants permission to create a 65ft by 26ft open-air pool at its facility in Garthdee.
The firm has earmarked a site behind the existing club that is currently used for five staff parking spaces and a small patch of grass.
A paved terrace would also be build, to provide seating and sun loungers around the pool.
A planning statement on behalf of David Lloyd said: “The proposed development will significantly improve the facilities for members at David Lloyd Aberdeen.
“We are looking to undertake this development in order to respond to members needs, and it is not considered by the club that the loss of approximately five temporary staff car parking spaces will have a material impact, given the wider benefits that the pool will bring.”
The swimming pool would be 4ft deep, with access from the gym or car park. A 7ft fence would surround the facility.
