One taken to hospital following crash on residential street in Cults

One car was involved in the incident of Craigbank Drive.

One person has been taken to hospital following a crash in Cults.

Emergency services rushed to Craigbank Drive after receiving reports of the incident at about 11.30am.

The crash involved one car and took place near the street’s entrance from Kirk Brae.

A person has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance for treatment.

The extent of their injuries is not known.

Police remain at scene

Police have cordoned off a section of the residential street with tape.

At least six police cars remain at Craigbank Drive while officers carry out their investigation into the crash.

Photos taken at the scene show a number of officers wearing high visibility clothing looking at a black car within the cordon.

The car is mainly on the pavement with one wheel off the kerb, near the junction for West Craigbank Way.

Response to crash on Cults street

The fire service was called at about 11.35am and dispatched two appliances from Central Fire Station.

They assisted the ambulance service by releasing the person from the car and left the scene just after midday.

A police spokeswoman said: “Around 11.40am on Saturday, October 21, police were called to a report of one-car road crash on Craigbank Drive, Aberdeen.

“Emergency services are in attendance and one person has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“The road is closed and inquiries are continuing.”
