Fraserburgh’s Buchan Road has been closed to the public since 11.45am today. Speaking at the scene police sergeant Garry Riddoch said he expected the unit to be in the port town by 6pm this evening. He said the package was small and could not be seen from the roadside. Fire crews are also at the scene. Nearby residents, who had gathered to watch the drama unfold, said they were not concerned for their safety.
