An Aberdeen primary school has been given a glowing report by inspectors.
A report from Education Scotland found pupils at Ashley Road school were respectful and motivated to achieve.
During the inspection earlier this year children responded positively to tasks which teachers set them.
At nursery level concentration levels were high and pupils were enthusiastic about their learning.
Staff were also found to be working well to develop the curriculum under the leadership of the new head teacher.
And the school was praised for its recent accreditation as a Rights Respecting School and for adopting the Eco Schools Scotland Green Flag.
Aberdeen City Council’s convenor of education and children’s services Councillor Angela Taylor welcome the findings of the report.
She said: “I am delighted that HM Inspectors have recognised that the school is a diverse community which enhances children’s learning and that staff are reflective, hard-working and keen to assume leadership roles.”
