A pony is searching for a stable home – after being left without an owner for six months.
Romy, a three-year-old cob, is looking to make a fresh start and staff at the Scottish SPCA believe she could become a “first-class” riding pony.
The brown and white beauty has been at charity’s rescue and rehoming centre in Drumoak since earlier this year, and is now ready to be paired up with a suitable owner.
Centre manager Graeme Innes said: “Romy is a great girl who sadly was underweight and lacking muscle when she arrived here.
“Thankfully, after a careful feeding plan and lots of tender loving care she is now fit and healthy and ready to start the next chapter of her life.
“Romy loves a pamper and being fussed over. She is very well behaved and has been so easy to work with.
“In time we believe Romy has the potential to develop into a first-class ridden pony.”
Prospective owners will need to have a knowledge of horses, as well as the time and patience to develop her training.
