A north-east animal rehoming charity is urgently seeking a foster home for an ageing dog.
Honey, a 12-year-old golden Labrador, is in the care of DAWGS after she become stressed and unhappy due to a change in family circumstances.
Because of her age she suffers from various health issues, including arthritis and poor eye sight, and the charity has offered to pay any ongoing medical and veterinary bills while she is being fostered.
A quiet and relaxed child-free home, on one level, with no other dogs would be ideal.
While she is content to be left alone for a few hours, Honey is happiest while out on her daily walks.
Ian Paterson, chairman of DAWGS, said: “We really want to give her a chance to live out the rest of her days in a loving home and are sure there is someone out there with the time to give her the care she needs – and we will support them all the way.”
Anyone who is interested in Honey should contact the charity on 01224 208989 or e-mail info@dawgs.co.uk.
