A section of a major north-east road has been closed due to flooding.
The A90 Aberdeen to Ellon road has been shut in both directions between the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre and the B999 B&Q roundabout.
Police have also closed off the Scotstown Road roundabout at the Parkway to eastbound traffic due to the surface water on the road.
A police spokeswoman said there had been several issues on the section of the A90 this afternoon.
It is understood the southbound carriage may open in the “near future” but the northbound stretch is likely to be closed for some time.
The road was particularly bad earlier at the AECC and Gordon Barracks, with queues of traffic crawling through deep puddles of water.
Elsewhere in the city, water was also causing problems on Market Street, Ashgrove Road West, Westburn Road and South Deeside Drive.
Motorists are being urged to drive with caution, use their headlights and reduce their speed – while increasing the distance between themselves and the car in front.
