The A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road has been reopened after flooding earlier today.
Police closed the north and southbound carriageways between the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre and B&Q roundabouts at about 3.45pm.
Both carriageways have just been reopened.
The road was eerily still at the giant puddles swept across the puddles, until Bear Scotland organised for the water to be drained.
There were also major delays on the Parkway at the Scotstown Road roundabout.
It is understood a group of caravans in the Bridge of Don area were also evacuated, with one fire crew from Central station attending to assist.
Queues of traffic formed outside the AECC as motorists attempted to crawl through the deep puddles on their way into town.
Elsewhere, broken manhole covers caused flooding problems on Market Street, and South Deeside Road and the A944 at Westhill were also affected by surface water.
Westburn Park was also flooded, along with the car park at the Beach Retail Park.
The Stoneywood and Dyce cricket match was cancelled due to waterlogged pitch.
However, visitors braved the wet for the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Portsoy, with many describing the “great atmosphere”.
And Aberdeenshire Council’s recently appointed chief executive Jim Savege was also impressed, Tweeting this scenic picture from the harbour.
