Aberdeen Airport has been flooded as the city is hit by flash floods.
Aberdeen has been battered by thunder, lighting and torrential rain for almost three hours and staff at the airport are now warning that the terminal has been flooded.
Staff are “working hard to resume normal service” but major delays are expected.
An eye witness reported that the “Water was up to baggage collection point” and that “Wellie boots are required”.
A number of roads have been closed, cars have been stranded and train services have also been hit.
I'm very glad I flew home on the Sunday. Aberdeen Airport is a wee bit damp right now. pic.twitter.com/xGTbPS1QUy
