A pensioner has admitted to flashing at primary school children in Aberdeen.
George Dawson, 64, exposed himself to three children in Bedford Avenue on Wednesday.
The pensioner appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court from custody yesterday and admitted the offence.
Fiscal depute Helen Johnston said the children’s father confronted the gardener after asking his seven-year-old son what happened, before phoning the police.
She said the pensioner initially denied the offence but confessed to the crime when he was interviewed by officers.
When asked why he exposed himself, the pensioner told officers: “Probably because I got a thrill out of it.
“I don’t know, I know it’s sad.”
Defence lawyer Gregor Kelly said his client had been in trouble for similar behaviour before.
He said: “It’s sad and alarming that it’s a repetition of behaviour which seems to have been under control for 18 years.
“He did try to restrict his urges. However, he accepts that he requires assistance and education to prevent repetition.”
Sheriff Janys Scott deferred sentence for reports until next month.
