A trust set up in memory of an Aberdeenshire teacher who died in a cycling accident is offering local groups grants of up to £2,000.
Jo Walters, from Alford, died after being involved in a crash with a van in Brighton, having just qualified as a teacher in 2010.
Relatives and friends set up the Jo Walters Trust in memory of the 28-year-old and is now urging groups within the north-east to apply for their annual grants scheme.
The funding is available for individuals or groups with a strong link to Aberdeenshire who focus on sporting, educational, outward bound or environmental projects.
Last year Skill Force Scotland was one of the biggest benefactors of the scheme, receiving £2,000 to fund a programme of activities, awards and qualifications for 15 third years at the Gordon Schools in Huntly to boost their skills and confidence.
The programme was designed to make the youngsters aware of their natural environment and countryside, and put them on course for their bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. The money was also put towards a week of adventure activities.
The four other benefactors were Garioch Gymnastics Club, charity SCILL (Supporting Children in Learning for Life), Grampian Disability Sport and the Monymusk Playpark Improvement Group.
The deadline for applications is July 31. To apply, visit www.jowalterstrust.org.uk/grant-awards/2015-grant-awards/137-apply-for-a-2015-grant.html
