Fire crews raced to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the A947 after the road was closed.
Residents in Whiterashes were unable to access their homes due to the incident, which was reported at around 2:30pm.
Two fire crews from Old Meldrum and Dyce responded at the scene.
Police confirmed multiple road closures in place which were due to the collision with traffic being diverted.
The extent of any injuries is unknown at this time.
The Scottish Ambulance Service was contacted for comment but did not respond.

For vehicles travelling north/west from Aberdeen, the road is closed on the A947 at Newmachar at its junction with the B979.
For vehicles travelling south/east from Oldmeldrum, the road is closed on the A947 just south of Whiterashes at its junction with the B993.
