The sudden death of a 51-year-old woman in Bucksburn is being treated as ‘unexplained’ but ‘not suspicious’.
Emergency services rushed to Howes Road at around 12:45pm on Saturday.
Police have confirmed the death is being treated as “unexplained” but it does not appear to be suspicious.
Officers remained at the single-track road in Aberdeen throughout Saturday afternoon, where four police cars were pictured.
The fire service was also previously in attendance.
The road, which cannot be accessed by vehicles due to permanent barricades, was taped off at both ends.
Officers were seen patrolling the area within the cordon which includes a woodland area next to water, with police vehicles parked near the entrance to EnerMech Ltd.
Those out walking near the golf course on Saturday afternoon were being turned away from the single-track road.
Police say Howes Road death is not ‘suspicious’
A police spokesman said: “Around 12.45pm on Saturday, March 16, police were called to the Howes Road area of Bucksburn, Aberdeen, following the sudden death of a 51-year-old woman.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“Next of kin have been informed and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
The fire service confirmed they received a call at 4.05pm to assist police in the Howes Road area.
Two appliances were dispatched from North Anderson Drive fire station.
