Three men have been arrested after drugs were recovered from an Aberdeenshire caravan park.
Police swooped on Deeside Holiday Park in Maryculter on Sunday, leaving families enjoying a quiet break in shock.
A police spokesman said they had been called following complaints relating to a “slight disturbance”.
Last night they confirmed three men aged 30, 33 and 42 had been arrested as a result of the incident and will be reported to the procurator fiscal.
It comes after about £1,000 of cannabis and some cash was recovered.
Police chased one man on foot through the site before detaining him and two others as holiday makers looked on.
A police dog handler was also called to the scene on Sunday night at around 4.40pm.
A spokeswoman for the Deeside Holiday Park did not wish to comment on the incident yesterday.
A police spokeswoman said: “Three men aged 42, 33 and 30 were arrested and have been reported to the procurator fiscal in relation to drugs and other offences at Deeside Caravan Park, Maryculter, on Sunday, July 19.
