Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 30s took advantage of an injured pensioner to rob him of his wallet.
A 71-year-old man fell and suffered a serious leg injury at the public steps between Farquhar Road and Girdleness Road in the Torry area of Aberdeen at around 7.30pm last night (Monday, July 20).
Upon seeing the fall, a man, described as being in his 30’s, stopped, however, rather than helping the man, he took his wallet containing a mid three-figure sum.
The man involved is described as being white, around 5ft 10ins tall, and of average build. He was wearing a white crew neck jumper and blue jeans.
The injured man was then helped by members of the public and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
