More than 50 Jaguars and Daimlers will line the lawn of an Aberdeenshire visitor attraction tomorrow.
Models including renowned classics and modern favourites will be on show at Drum Castle for the Grampian Region of Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club’s annual gathering and car show.
Hundreds of people flock to the event every year, and enjoy perusing the impressive display of vehicles and chatting to owners.
Dealership Peter Vardy Jaguar will have a selection of the latest models on show and there will also be a line-up of rally cars at this year’s event.
The gathering and car show, now in its 16th year, raises money for local causes – with tomorrow’s proceeds going to the South West Aberdeenshire Citizens Advice Bureau.
The charity provides free advice on various issues such as debt, energy, pensions and welfare.
The South West Aberdeenshire branch is based at Westhill, but has seven outreach centres in Banchory, Aboyne, Alford, Tarland, Lonach, Ballater and Braemar.
Jim Mann, chairman of the Grampian Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club, said: “Over the 15-year history of the annual gathering we’ve welcomed thousands of passionate Jaguar and Daimler car owners and interested spectators who enjoy seeing the best of Grampian’s cars all together on show.
“We are really grateful to all our sponsors for the support they’ve shown both the club and our chosen charity.
“In 2014 we raised over £8,250 for Alec – the Aberdeenshire Life Education Centres – so we are hoping for a good turnout this year to match, or even better that effort.”
There will also be entertainment on the day from the Gordon Highlanders Association Pipe Band.
The event will run from noon-4pm and pre-registration is not required to show a car, owners simply have to turn up before 11.30am.
