Ever wonder how many points you would get for ‘rowie’ if the word was allowed in scrabble?
Well wonder no longer (it’s 8) as the north-east delicacy is set to be immortalised in board game form this year.
After the dictionary change on September 1, rowie will be officially allowed in the board game.
The announcement came along with news that a Scrabble course for beginners is to be launched in Aberdeen on September 8.
The 10-week course run by the Scottish Scrabble Association will be held at Aberdeen Bridge Club on Rubislaw Terrace.
The course will be aimed at complete beginners, although those with more experience can also join, and will focus on learning through playing with expert tuition.
