A man has been arrested following reports of a sexual assault in Aberdeen.
Police cordoned off an area near Pittodrie Stadium today as an investigation was launched.
The incident was reported to officers at around 10pm on Sunday.
Officers descended on the Broadhill area of Aberdeen as police tape was erected around an area of woodland.
This evening, police have confirmed a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with their enquiries.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Sunday, May 12, 2024, we received a report of a sexual assault which happened at Broadhill in Aberdeen.
“A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection and inquiries are ongoing.”
