The 27-year-old woman was approached by a man as she walked along Westray Road, in the Summerhill area of the city, at around 3.45am yesterday. A police spokeswoman said the attack was unprovoked. She added: “This type of incident is highly unusual in the area. “We are following positive lines of inquiry but would ask anyone who heard or saw anything to call us.” The woman suffered minor injuries but did not need hospital treatment. She was wearing a black cardigan, light coloured top and blue jeans at the time of the attack. Police said they were hunting a white man, in his late 20s, of medium build with short fair hair.
