The leader of the Scouts in the UK visited an Aberdeen camp this week to highlight the importance of the movement in the north-east of Scotland.
Wayne Bulpitt, UK chief commissioner for the international youth group, made the special trip to the week-long Grampian Nights excursion at Templars Park on Monday.
During his visit, Mr Bulpitt made the time to speak to almost 100 children and adults at the event and to praise the various troops from across the north-east.
He said: “It’s amazing to be here. Scouting is all about fun, and adventure, and camps like these are a great opportunity to put into practice.
“It’s great because it’s one movement across the world, but whether it’s the north-east of Scotland or southern England or Ireland, each individual group adapts to their specific areas.
“I’m very proud of the hard work clearly being done by all the leaders up here in the north-east.”
