A fishing boat skipper had to be rescued this afternoon after falling into the water, near Boddam.
Aberdeen coastguard were alerted to the incident at around 1.30pm.
The skipper was in the water for around 20 minutes and swam back to shore where he was met by emergency services.
Peterhead coastguard teams arrived at the scene and were forced to call the local rescue boat, as well as Aberdeen lifeboat, to get the fishing boat under control, which had been left on auto-pilot.
The skipper was treated by ambulance teams, but his injuries are not believed to have been serious.
