‘The Red Hot Chilli Pipers’ are set to headline this years Aberdeen University Freshers’ Week.
Aberdeen University Students Association (AUSA) will be hosting the band on Friday September 11 for an evening of music and dancing as part of the Freshers’ Week Live Band Night.
Plans for Freshers Week 2015 are well under way with a huge circus tent in AUSA colours on the University lawn complete with a variety of events throughout the week from live music, an outdoor cinema night and a beer festival.
There is a mixture of non alcoholic and under 18 friendly events to appeal to a wide range of students and the community.
The ‘Red Hot Chilli Pipers’ are famous for wowing crowds with their energetic and exciting performances of ‘bagrock’ and have performed to audiences around the world. They previously won the BBC talent show ‘When Will I Be Famous?’, have performed on the main stage at ‘T in the Park’ and have also appeared on BBC Radio 1
