A person has been taken to hospital after a car veered off the road on the A92 heading towards Aberdeen.
The emergency services received reports of a road traffic crash near the Charleston flyover on the busy road at about 8.30am today.
A black car appeared to veer off the dual carriageway and hit a lamppost in the grass verge.
The road was closed northbound with a diversion in place via Wellington Road to allow for vehicle recovery.
It was reopened to traffic by 10.30am.
Police and the ambulance service attended the scene and a passenger was transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 8.22am to attend a road traffic collision on the A92, north of the Charlestown flyover.
“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and one patient was transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
