Funny man Eddie Izzard, who is currently filming in the North-east for his most recent film Whisky Galore, has been saturating his twitter feed with beautiful pictures of the area surrounding Portsoy.
One picture he shared with his 3.8 million twitter followers captured the scenery of Portsoy, whilst the other featured a behind the scenes snap.
The location is just along the coast from Pennan which was the setting for another famous Scottish movie, Local Hero, in 1983.
This film will be the second retelling of the iconic movie, this time being a modern adaptation, updating from the original black and white which featured in the 1949 production.

The plot tells the story of the fictional islands of Great and Little Todday where whisky supplies run out.
The Islanders luck changes when the S.S Politician, loaded with 50,000 cases of scotch runs aground and islanders attempt to pilfer them under the noses of the Home Guard.
The remake of Whisky Galore drew much attention from the public as production assistant, Katharine Kennedy, issued an opening casting call.
“We are keen to involve locals as supporting artists or extras”.

Now filming is under way Mr Izzard found time on Saturday night to perform a benefit gig at Banff Academy, which he also announced through his twitter account.
He is donating half of the proceeds to the Portsoy Scout Hut fund and the other half to BXA School.
Head teacher Andrew Ritchie said: “We’re thrilled that Eddie has chosen Banff Academy as the venue for this special one-off performance.”
