Police are appealing for information after a man approached three children near a supermarket in Aberdeenshire.
The incident happened beside the Tesco at Hill of Banchory last Wednesday around 7.30pm.
Officers said the man, who was between the age of 40 and 60, approached the youngsters despite not knowing them.
Last night, the Marr Community Policing Team issued a description of the person in question in the hope he comes forward so they can “establish the full circumstances”.
Inspector Martin Burgess, of the Marr CPT, said: “There is no reason to think that there was anything untoward in the contact, but we would, nevertheless, like to speak to the man in order to satisfy ourselves on the matter.
“If you were near the Tesco superstore or the nearby area at the time or have any information, then we would be grateful if you would contact us.”
The man is described as having grey hair which was balding and was wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans.
He was also driving a red car.
