Detectives investigating an ATM raid in Aberdeen have thanked the public for their help after re-visiting the scene of the crime one week on.
Officers descended on Kingswells late on Sunday night to stop potential witnesses who might have been in the area when raiders targeted the Co-op store at Kingswells Avenue.
More than £10,000 was taken during the raid in the early hours of Monday, August 3.
It was the latest in a string of thefts and attempted thefts from cash machines in the region.
Between 11pm on Sunday night and 2am yesterday morning, around 20 cars were stopped in the area adjacent to the shop and on the A944 Kingswells to Westhill Road.
Detective Chief Inspector Alex Dowall said: “Officers were stopping motorists to try to identify any witnesses and also to try to jog memories if anyone may have seen anything unusual or suspicious around the time the crime happened.
“I would like to thank the community for continuing to assist us. Enquiries are ongoing and if anyone has any information I would urge them to contact Police Scotland on 101, or any police officer.
“Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
