An Aberdeen pub is on the lookout for a new singing star – who might get the chance to release a single later this year.
The Globe Inn is running the talent contest, and the winner will get the chance to record with local band Fubar in a studio and potentially release a Christmas single.
Auditions will be held on August 20, September 24 and on October 22, with the winner announced at the finals scheduled for November 26.
Participants will be given a choice of 200 songs to perform alongside Fubar.
Noel Brown, manager of the Globe Inn, said he was on the lookout for a star.
“We want this to be a talent competition like no other.
“If you think you can sing, if you already rock the karaoke, if you think you could front a live band we want to hear from you.
“We are confident there is plenty of undiscovered vocal talent out there and this offers them a showcase for their ability.
“The winner has the prospect of releasing their own recording which we would do everything possible to promote and make a success.”
