Celebrity chef Nick Nairn will be serving a slap-up lunch for just a fiver tomorrow at his cook school in Aberdeen.
The TV star is teaming up with Group Executive Chef for Nairns, John Weber, and Simon Gosling – Head Chef Tutor at Nick’s Aberdeen Cook School – to host a special lunchtime pop-up restaurant at Back Wynd.
Each chef will create their own dish priced at just £5 and everyone who eats will be asked to pick their favourite.
The menu line-up will include roast beef, rocket and horseradish cream sourdough sandwiches with salad; parmesan crusted smoked haddock and pea fishcakes with paprika mayonnaise and house salad; and Moroccan lamb tagine with Mediterranean cous cous and harissa.
Nick said: “We believe Aberdeenshire has some of the best produce in the whole of Scotland and we are going to be using that to create three great dishes but it will be up to the public to decide which they prefer.
“We’ve priced each dish at just a fiver which must make it the best lunch bargain anywhere in Scotland, but when it’s gone it’s gone so don’t wait too late.”
The ‘Lunch for a Fiver’ pop-up restaurant will run from midday until 2.30pm.
