A team of six wounded veterans have started an epic 1,000 mile walk to London.
The team set off on their 72-day trip from the Glenfiddich Distillery at Dufftown on Saturday.
Yesterday, they followed a stretch of the Great Glen Way along with the western banks of Loch Ness and today they will tackle Ben Nevis with a stage in the Fort William area.
The walkers are expected to finish their gruelling challenge on November 1, when they arrive at Buckingham Palace.
The team includes four British veterans and two former soldiers from the USA.
All six have physical or cognitive injuries sustained in the line of duty.
The walk has been organised by Walking With The Wounded, a charity which is backed by Prince Harry who has taken part in treks to both poles on behalf of the cause.
Edward Parker, co-founder of Walking With The Wounded said: “Walking over 1,000 miles is no mean feat. Yet again, we will be able to demonstrate that despite injuries these men and women look to their future with great determination and courage.
“We are also very excited about walking amongst the communities who have been so supportive of the military and Walking
With The Wounded and we look forward to them coming out to support the team on their journey.”
