A School was shut today after a fire caused extensive damage. The blaze broke out at Buchanhaven Primary in Peterhead around 8.20pm yesterday. Two fire crews from Peterhead tackled the fire, which was above the kitchen and confined to the roof. The fire was out by 8.36pm. Police also attended the scene and are carrying out inquiries into the incident. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said they were keeping “an open mind” as to the cause of the blaze. She added: “We are appealing for anyone in the area at the time to get in touch.”
