The funeral of a man knocked down and killed on a major north-east road will be held next week.
Barry McRae, 34, died after he was hit by a car on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road, near Stracathro, in the early hours of Friday.
Police are still investigating the incident, and on Wednesday appealed for anyone with information about a black Audi A3 – which was seen in the area before the crash – to come forward.
The father-of-two, from Catterline, near Stonehaven, is believed to have been in the car, which stopped in a southbound lay-by shortly before the accident.
Mr McRae’s funeral will be held at Dunnottar Parish Church, Stonehaven, on Monday at 11am.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Carronhill School.
Mourners are being asked to wear bright colours.
